Suntrack systems

Do you want a solar light in your dark living room? The Suntrack solar reflector can keep the sun in your house and hold the sun reflection all day stable. That way it is possible to have a daylight lamp in your house or office. This system is called a Heliostat. The position of the sun is different every day, the software calculates the position of the reflection mirror every second. The sun position depends of the time and date and your place on earth. The time is very important, the DCF or GPS clock is used. You can use the solar tracker to point at solar panels for more efficiency or build a custom system using our controller to improve your solar panels with a solar tracking system.
Our DIY solar tracking system is easy to install.
Sun reflection during the day
This is an
example how the solarlamp looks like during the day like a daylight
lamp.Principle of operation
This is a diy solar tracking system. The solar tracker works
without light sensors. The position of the sun and reflection
position is calculated. By learnig the the postion of the sun
once the heliotrack controller calculates where to move the motors to
get the right reflection position for the mirror. With
the adjustable end switches in the rotor, the controller is
learned once the maximum values of the horizontal and vertical
boundries. The suntrack system is a dual axis solar tracker and has 2
operation modes: sun reflector to use as solar lightning and solar
tracker to point solar pannels to the sun.
What is a Heliostat
A Heliostat
(from helios, the Greek word for sun, and stat, as in stationary) is a
device that, in general, tracks the movement of the sun. The device
typically utilizes a mirror, which can be oriented throughout the day
to redirect sunlight along a fixed axis toward a stationary target or
receiver.
Heliostats are used in solar telescopes, and solar power generation. Read more: Wikipedia solar tracker . Here a movie which explains a heliostat:
